Chip is originally from Massachussettes.
He has
been in Georgia since 1972.
He has been playing
the banjo since
about 1972. After putting it down for 15 years,
he picked it
up again in 2000. Having first learned
the 2-finger style from local old timers, he is now known by many for his
unique picking. Chip's greatest inspiration is
Will Keys from
East Tennessee. Chip plays a '70's OME Juggernaut and it's
his favorite banjo, yet.
Tish was born in Delaware, but has been down south
since she was three years
old. She was raised in a tiny copper
mining town in the
southeast corner of Tennessee
next to the Georgia/North
Carolina borders.
She has been playing the
guitar since 1967. It wasn't until she met Chip that she began playing old time music. She picked up on it right away
and has come to love playing the rhythmic old time tunes.
