I
am greatly saddened by the loss of a great man and friend, Will Keys. Will left us on Friday, November 4,
2005 and will be missed greatly by all who knew him or were touched by his music.
Will has been my mentor since the day I
first heard him play the banjo. Even though the music is what attracted me to Will, as soon as I
met him it was evident that he was one of the nicest, most warm and welcoming people I had ever met.
I will never forget Will and he will be in my
heart and music forever. To know him was to love him and you'll find that anyone who ever met or knew him
will say the same. He was such a special person.
